Michigan lotto winner drowns with winning ticket still in pocket
Authorities believe that Greg Jarvis drowned in the course of an incident on his boat.
His human body was observed on a Saginaw Bay seashore final week, Caseville Police Main Kyle Romzek explained to WJRT-Television set.
Mr Jarvis, 57, was at the Blue H2o Inn in Caseville on September 13 when he gained $62,000 taking part in Club Keno, a Michigan Lottery video game, operator Dawn Talaski claimed.
But Mr Jarvis could not instantly gather the winnings simply because he did not have a Social Stability card, which was important to get the prize, Ms Talaski mentioned.
Mr Jarvis was past witnessed at the bar acquiring drinks for close friends on September 19, but he continue to was waiting around for a card and hadn’t gained his dollars, Ms Talaski stated.
Law enforcement were termed September 24 when a entire body was discovered near a boat that belonged to Mr Jarvis. An autopsy was executed.
“We are thinking that he was tying up his boat, slipped and fell, hit his head, and that is wherever he ended up in the drinking water. No foul play suspected,” Chief Romzek explained.
The profitable ticket was offered to Mr Jarvis’ spouse and children.
